Causes of corona viruses depends on various factors :

COVID-19 Spreads Very easily from person to person. How easily a Virus Spreads from person to person can vary. COVID-19 is through to Spread mainly through close contact from person to person, Including between people who are physically near to each other (within about 6 feet).

The viruses can Spread from an infected person's Nose or Mouth in small liquid Particles when they  are Sneezing, Coughing, Speaking, Singing and Breathing. These Particles range from smaller aerosols to larger respiratory droplets.

Covid-19

The virus (COVID-19) can also spread in Crowded indoor / Poor ventilated settings, when people spend longer time at that place. This is because Aerosols suspended in air or travels in air. Current evidence suggested that the viruses mainly Spreads mainly between people who are in closer contact to each other (nearly about 1 Meter) . 

A person can be infected when Droplets or Aerosols containing the viruses are inhaled directly by Nose in the form of breathing, directly contact with the eyes, directly inhaled by mouth or contact with mouth.

A person may be infected by touching surface that have been unwashed or unsensitized or contaminated or defective  by the viruses. When touching their eyes, nose, mouth without cleaning their hands.
